Supreme vistas… immaculate… comfortable … road to villa needs additional pavement… American coffee pot is a must and additional towels for lg groups is needed… Rosa is perfecto in all ways! Adored our stay! Definately far from the maddening crowd but accessable to everything!
We met Rosa at the local petrol station and she took us up to the villa – the road / track is pretty scary at night first time out but once we were used to it, it was fine – just don’t over use the clutch, bang it in first and put your foot down! But the climb up there is 100% worth it in the morning when you wake up and see the view – WOW, it is amazing! Rosa is a wonderful host and provided food for us on the first evening along with fresh figs, which were beautiful. The villa is very comfortable and well equipped – you have to get used to the air con system, which is under floor and it can create some condensation on the floor, but Rosa is well aware of helping you with settings. We would highly recommend the villa – it is 10mins into Cefalu and Rosa will give you the number of Stefano who is an excellent taxi driver with 8 seats – and it is a beautiful setting. You do start to lose the sun at about 4.30pm behind the mountain so get up early and enjoy the views in the sun.
and was very friendly and eager to help to find the best match for our needs and imaginations. We had no too high hopes based on previous picture-contra reality experiences but this was really what it promised and looked exactly like it was shown on the pictures. Our host Rosa was waiting for us late at night and prepared some snacks, fruit, wine, water, juice and quality breakfast ingredients were already put in the fridge. She came regularly to make sure the beautiful private pool is always clean, but never interfered in our private sphere. She recommended some sites, worth to see, restaurants worth to try, even worked 2 hours on organizing tickets for a sold out theater show in Taormina. (Special thanks for that effort Rosa!) All in all, we felt home, everything was clean, modern, tidy and we had full privacy although we were only 2 persons on a romantic hide-away trip. The road to the Villa is challenging, but our Fiat 500 made it quite well! Cefalu is a trasure box with plenty of places to visit, even an open air free movie on the beach some evenings. Also don’t miss to go to Castelbuono (Winery Bacchus), and on “The Ranch” in San Guglielmo is a must to try their full menu for authentic great food. I could go on forever, but I close with a big THANK YOU for both Sicily4u and our host Rosa! We will be back!
As was the keyholder carola. Location is a bit rural, but the views make up for it! Lovely pool area.
the house is cosy, the view fantastic and Rosa very helpfull. The road towards the house was definately a challenge.
Alles entsprach unseren Erwartungen zur Gänze. Einziger Hinweis die Strasse zum Haus ist äusserst Steil. Das ist für aufmerksame Leser allerdings auch vermerkt. “Flachländer” können es jedoch falsch einschätzen. Ich kam allerdings gut zurecht.
and be far enough away to escape the hustle and bustle if you want some peace and quiet. Rosa was lovely and extremely helpful. A fantastic week!
