It’s a stylish beach town near Palermo, known for its Art Nouveau villas, trendy restaurants, and sandy shore – a bit like the French Riviera, but with a Sicilian twist.

Once you’ve explored the north and northwest, there’s more to see. Head west to Marsala for wine and baroque buildings, or up to Erice for castles and misty views. Want more history? Selinunte has ancient Greek ruins that are well worth a visit. Or take a trip along the northern coast to Acireale and Trecastagni near Mount Etna for something a bit different.
